Hook Norton sponsors local darts ace

Hook Norton is sponsoring local darts ace, Julie Newman, who is a member of the Oxfordshire County darts team. The North Oxfordshire brewer hopes she will continue with her winning ways in Division 1 of the BDO Inter-Counties Championship and help the team gain promotion to the Premiership.

When Julie Newman is not throwing arrows for Oxfordshire, she can be found behind the bar or in the kitchen of the family pub The Butchers Arms, King’s Sutton – which she runs with her husband Alan.

Julie Newman said: “The darts season lasts from September to April and it involves a lot of travelling around the country when we play away games against other counties. I am very grateful for the support Hook Norton is giving me.”
